With years of experience in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry, Robert saw a persistent problem that no one was solving: professional mechanics were limited by equipment that anchored them to a single location.

Traditional lifts required expensive concrete work, permanent installation, and locked shops into inflexible layouts. Mobile mechanics couldn’t compete for high-value jobs, and small shops couldn’t adapt their spaces as their businesses evolved.

From Concept to Creation

After a few months of machining, cutting, and welding, a proof of concept was born. You know—the realization of a certain idea to demonstrate its feasibility; a demonstration in principle aimed at verifying that the concept had practical potential. It wasn’t pretty; in fact, it was ugly. No paint, no cool stickers, and a helluva lot of rust—but gobs of what we were certain had huge potential.

Robert engineered the first truly portable, professional-grade car hoist. Not a low-rise jack stand alternative, but a full 73 ½ - inch lift system that required zero concrete, zero installation, and zero compromises on safety or capacity.

Turning Ingenuity Into Opportunity

It worked—and it worked fabulously. Today, Portable Car Hoist systems lift everything from Miatas to semi-trucks in over 100 shops nationwide—each one custom-built by hand in our California manufacturing facility. The mission hasn’t changed: give mechanics the tools to work anywhere, safely and professionally.

The hard work was now in front of us. We had to take this ingenious product to market.
